No room at the inn

It's a beautiful tradition, la posada... the reinactment of the scene from 2000+ years ago.
The exhausted woman and her husband go from house to house.  She carries the truth of God, the gift of God, the light of God within her.
But there is no room at the inn for the exhausted pregnant woman who will be in labor soon.  There is no room for her at any inn.
We've heard the story countless times; we reinact it every year, la posada.

The woman was no temple high priest, no honored royal emissary, no important general, no powerful business mogul for whom the inn's guests would have been honored to surrender their place and comfort to make way for her; she was just a woman who carried the truth of God, the gift of God, the light of God within her.

2000+ years ago the exhausted pregnant woman who carried the truth of God, the gift of God, the light of God within her, found no shelter  for that truth, that gift, that light, to come forth into the world except for a barn.
Today we have grand churches with grand seating and public address systems.... but there is still nonetheless no room at this inn for women who carry the truth of God, the gift of God, the light of God within them to bring forth that truth, that gift, that light into this world.

The proud men stand in the marble palace in Rome and tell us once again the story of the woman who carried the truth of God, the gift of God, the light of God within her, but who found no shelter and no place for that truth, that gift, that light, to come forth into the world except for a barn.  The men in the marble palace in Rome do not seem to realize that they themselves are only guests at the inn.

A beautiful analogy, the woman pregnant then and now with the light and the truth of Jesus is not welcome in the inn today, barred from true service and barred from delivering the Word of Jesus and the Presence of Jesus today, by the Vatican hierarchy, especially led by the Pope.

    Well expressed!  from Janet. homemaker.

Shame on the Pope for what he does to women and the men who support the value and worth and dignity of women.  The Pope shuts women out of the inn of the Church.
